A short history of The Sound Professionals
and its owners....
The Sound Professionals, Inc., based in the southern part of
New Jersey, in the town of Hainesport, began its existence in October 1979.
It is wholly owned S corporation. Bonnie Carfagno serves as President and
Chris Carfagno, Vice-president. For the first 20 years, they served the area
as mobile disc jockeys, performing at weddings, parties, and similar functions.
In 1997, a new segment of the business was created, with the goal of providing
hard-to-find items for audio recording enthusiasts.
The core product lines of The Sound Professionals include innovative
binaural microphone products, USB microphones, microphone preamps, cables
and others - currently, there are over 400 different Sound Professionals brand
products that are designed and manufactured in the USA. Along with the Sound
Professionals brand products, they also are a reseller of related audio recording
products. This combination of manufacturing and reselling in one business
gives them a unique ability to offer an exceptional value to their customers.
Bonnie has a B.A. from Holy
Family University in Education. She heads up all office operations. Chris
heads up
Chris spent many years as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
for Lockheed Martin
(formerly RCA,
formerly GE Aerospace, formerly
Martin Marietta),
one of the largest defense and aerospace contractors in the world. He was
involved in the manufacture of high powered communications satellites for
worldwide customers at an ISO 9001 certified facility in Newtown,
PA and East Windsor NJ, as well the manufacture of the Aegis advanced
radar system for the US Navy in Bridgeport, NJ. He has also held certifications
for the assembly and inspection of complex electronic assemblies to NASA and
DOD specifications. Because of the steady growth of their business, Chris
left Lockheed Martin in 1998 so that he could devote more of his energies
to The Sound Professionals.
Chris also has a long musical background. He began studying
the trumpet and drums at age 10 and continues to play in a nonprofessional
capacity today, 40 years later. He has made hundreds of recordings over the
years using numerous types of microphones and recording equipment, and has
a small recording studio in his home that he shares with his wife and two
children.
His interests in quality assurance, electronics technology
and music all contributed to the various designs and high quality products
that The Sound Professionals now offer.
On April 4th, 2005, The Sound Professionals moved to their
new, larger location in Hainesport, NJ, to further broaden their range of
products and services offered to their customers.
Chris, Bonnie and their staff are dedicated to providing the
