Description:

The SP-OTTER-1 is an Omnidirectional stereo microphone that is built right into a water resistant black Otter Box™.

The microphones are built right into the wall of the box, with one mic located on each end of the box. Because the mics are black, they blend in well with the color of the box and are difficult to see unless the box is inspected closely. To use the 'microphone', simply place your recorder inside the box, plug the mic in and go! The box can be placed right on a table or other flat surface, on a mic stand with the optional mic stand adapter, or right on your lap at a live performance. Recordings can be made with box lid open or closed.

This microphone system has an extended frequency response and a very natural and accurate sound, providing deep, solid bass, smooth midrange and clean highs. It has a very wide dynamic range, and will handle very high sound pressure levels without distortion or clipping. For loud recordings, you need to add a microphone power supply. This one is recommended.
