Miniature portable two channel (stereo) preamp with 9vdc "plug in power" to power mini microphones

Finally, a miniatuer, great sounding, low noise, high quality preamp that runs on a battery! This preamp will give you professional quality amplification for your microphones. Other similar preamps available (sometimes for under $50) offer similar amplification, but not with this low level of noise and distortion. When looking for a mic preamp, it's important to look closely at the frequency response, noise and distortion specifications. If you don't see them listed, it's usually because they are not so good! Previously, preamps of this quality cost several hundred dollars - now, you can get professional quality for much less!

The output cable is available several different lengths and configurations (see option box above). The power is turned off by unplugging the output cable.

• 3 amplifier gain ranges selected via mini toggle switch on case exterior for maximum flexibility:
  • 0dB gain for recording loud sounds (loud rock concerts, etc.)
  • 22dB gain for recording medium sounds (acoustic music, lectures, meetings, rehearsals, etc.)
  • 42dB gain for recording quiet sounds (nature sounds, distant talking, soft spoken people, etc.)
  Optional in-line output level control - allows you to fine tune the output of the preamp within the gain range you select (especially useful for recorders that do not have recording level adjustments built-in). Note: This control comes after the amplifier, not before, to maximize performance and minimize noise.
