Description:

The newest of the R-09 accessory line, this microphone power supply works just like our other battery modules, except that it plugs right into the recorder's line input directly with no cables. The module is securely attached to the top of the R-09 and your microphone plugs into the module.

This unit is recommended when you need to use our small microphones in high SPL situations. This module will power your microphones with 12 volts of bias power (sometimes called "plug in power") and send the signal into the 1/8" stereo line input. Most small Electret Condenser microphones will enjoy improved high SPL performance with this higher power, since the R-09 only provides about 3 volts plug in power at the 1/8" mic input (for recording loud sounds, the 1/8" input of the R-09 cannot be used as it will overload). This adapter sends the audio signal into the line input which can handle a stronger signal.
