Mini Battery Module

This battery module is recommended when you need to use our small microphones in high SPL situations, but don't have the space for a regular sized battery module. The mini premium battery module is a super small microphone power supply. It provides the same level of power as the larger battery modules, without the larger size. The components are encased in a tough material which protects them from wear and tear. The standard long-life 9v battery is contained within a durable shell. The optional bass roll switches and in-line level control (if selected) are easily accessible for quick changes if necessary as both are locaed outside the battery compartment.

The power module will power your microphones with 9 volts of bias power (sometimes called "plug in power"). Most small Electret Condenser microphones will enjoy improved high SPL performance with this higher power, since most portable recorders only provide about 3 volts plug in power at the mic input.

Bass Roll-off option
The selectable bass roll off (bass reduction) filter which provides seven different bass roll-off frequencies to choose from, with independent switches for each channel. The bass roll off is used when the material to be recorded has excessive bass content and allows the user to adjust the bass response of the mic system accordingly. The selectable frequencies are 16Hz (no bass roll off), 69Hz, 95Hz, 107Hz, 160Hz, 195Hz and 888Hz.

Level Control option
The optional in-line level control allows you to adjust the output of the module while recording. For recorders with no mic sensitivity, this will allow you to turn down (attenuate) the signal so that it does not overload the mic input (called brickwalling). For recorders that don't allow the adjustment of the recording levels while recording, this option will give you that ability.
