This is an all-in-one high quality USB microphone adapter, capable of picking up all of the sounds in an entire room (range of 40-50 feet average) when used with a standard high quality condenser microphone. It's small size (smaller than a USB pen drive!) makes it perfect for situations where you don't want to draw attention to the fact that you are recording audio right into your computer. It also includes a headphone jack that offers real-time monitoring of the sound begin recorded. It has high quality 5.1 virtual surround sound output for playback of stereo sources, and it's compatible with PC.

Mac instructions:

1-If you have not done so already, download this file. Unzip the downloaded driver zip file. A folder will appear in a new window. Open the folder.

2-Double click the folder called "InstallCmSkypeMW.app" and you will be
guided through the installation process. Your should be prompted to reboot
your computer when the installation is complete.

To test the mic using Garage Band:
1-Open Garage Band and open preferences.

2-Click the Audio/Midi tab.

3-Change the audio input to USB recorder headphone set.

4-If you want the playback audio to come through your computer speakers as
usual, do not change the audio output preferences. If you want to listen to playback through the USB mic's headphone jack, change the audio output to USB recorder headphone set.

5-Check to see if your Mac is getting an audio signal by looking for
movement on the recording levels.

6-You are now ready to record high quality audio with your new mic!
