There are 2 ways to buy this system - with or without the USB audio adapter:

Option 1-The standard configuration includes the microphone, transmitter, receiver and connecting cable. This connecting cable is used to connect the output of the receiver to either your computer, Steno machine or digital recorder's microphone input jack. However, if you have one of our USB microphones with an external microphone input, you can also add this wireless microphone system to your existing USB microphone. When you do, your USB microphone will pick up sound the same way it always has, but, you will now be able to also pick up more sound, up to 200 feet away because the sound from the wireless microphone will be blended (mixed) together with the sound from the USB microphone.

Option 2-You can add a USB adapter, or USB microphone, to the wireless system. This will allow you to monitor the sound from the microphone and have it amplified into a set of headphones or earbuds (not included). Also - most computers today have less than adequate soundcards. Adding a USB adapter, or USB microphone, will give you better audio quality overall than plugging into a mic input on a computer. Note: If you already own on of our USB mics, you do not need this option.
