This module utilizes Samson PM4's modified with cables terminalted with right angle 1/4 inch TRS phone plugs or right angle XLR plugs for extreme portablity.
This adapter provides stereo phantom power interface between mixer/recorder and balanced electret condenser type microphone for use with PMD660, PMD670, PMD671, M-Audio MicroTrack 24/96, and other units with phantom power inputs.
If your portable recorder is equipped with Phantom Power, this is the product to consider to cut down on the bulk, and power your electret condenser mics. Running your condenser microphones on phantom power will increase the dynamic range and the SPL (sound pressure level) capabilities. Also, the advantage of "long cable runs" (if needed) is possible due to balanced cable configuration.
The stereo phantom power adaptor with its special interface, enables mixer or recorder to provide phantom power to condenser, piezo or electric microphones. The adapter converts high impedance (50 - 10meg ohm) to low impedance (600 ohms) allowing long cable runs without noise and gain loss. Connect the P3 plug (mini XLR) from your microphones into the locking input of the adapter. Connect your choice of dual right angle XLR or inch TRS phone plugs, installed on the cable from the adapter to the input of your recorder. Velcro the unit right to your recorder and your ready to go with maximum portability.
NOTE: your microphones will need to be terminated with mini XLR P3 plug (female) (TA3F). You can change your microphone connectors by ordering the SP-PHANTOM-MOD here.
