Instruction manual

Are you looking for a system that will surpass the best audio you have ever heard in a courtroom or depo? Have you ever heard the audio provided by a Videoagrapher and were impressed by the quality? This system will give you the best recordings you have ever hear and you will never struggle to hear anyone again.

Yes, this is a significant investment in money. This is why we use only the highest quality professional components - from the case, to the wireless systems, microphones and even the cable interconnects - everything is the highest professional quality for years of trouble-free service. We have used the lightest weight components that do not sacrifice quality and one of the case options has a pullout handle and wheels.

This is a complete ready-to-use 4 or 8 channel (select in the option box) professional wireless microphone system that connects to a single USB port in your computer. With this system, you can connect 4 or 8 microphones, monitor what the microphones are picking up through headphones plugged into the computer and record from all microphones into your software. For Eclipse users, we include a multitrack interface that connects to your computers USB port and will record each microphone onto a separate track (see your Eclipse manual for details and benefits of multitrack recording). For Case Catalyst and other CAT software users, a mixer is included to mix all of your microphones into one channel to feed into the USB port on your computer. You can individually adjust the level of each microphone with both options.

The Audio Technica wireless microphone systems offer clean, clear, interference-free performance. Audio Technica wireless systems are used in the most demanding applications worldwide and have been the brand of choice at events like the Presidential debates, Olympics, Grammy awards, major touring concerts and many, many others.

There are 2 microphone options - a high quality unidirectional (cardioid) lapel clip-on mic (AT831) and a high quality omnidirectional plug-on microphone (SP-WCM-CW). How do you choose? If you want to clip microphones on each person and isolate the sound of each person's voice as much as possible, select the AT831 cardioid lapel microphones. If you want to place microphones around the room and have each mic picking up an area of the room, select the SP-WCM-CW microphones. Or, you can order both and have the option of using them either way.

The setup is simplicity itself - load the driver (supplied) on your computer and connect the USB cable between the interface and the USB port on your computer and allow the interface to automatically load the individual soundcards onto your computer sound interface.

You can adjust the recording level and monitoring level of each mic individually as needed. Need help? No problem - we can remote into your computer and set this up for you if needed. Unlimited technical support is included.

This system offers the same noise filtering and echo cancellation as our well known USB microphones.

Audio Technica 3000 series wireless system features and specifications

The Audio-Technica fourth-generation 3000 Series wireless systems give you the power and flexibility to operate within the congested UHF spectrum. 3000 Series systems have an operating range of 300' (100 m) and are available in two frequency bands - DE2 (470-530 MHz) and EE1 (530-590 MHz) - that provide a class-leading 60 MHz tuning range, which is more than twice that offered by the previous 3000 Series models. Frequencies can be easily scanned and selected on the receiver and then synced with the transmitter via IR sync functionality. The 3000 Series even lets you set a backup frequency that can be quickly swapped by pressing the transmitter's multifunction button in the event of unexpected interference.

Available system configurations feature an ATW-R3210 receiver along with an ATW-T3201 body-pack or ATW-T3202 handheld transmitter. The ATW-T3201 is equipped with Audio-Technica's new rugged cH-style screw-down 4-pin connector for secure connection to A-T's cH-style lavalier and headworn microphones, or cables. The ATW-T3202 comes with either an ATW-C510 dynamic or ATW-C710 condenser interchangeable cardioid capsule, and its industry-standard thread allows for the use of four additional A-T capsules, plus other compatible capsules. Both transmitters feature rugged, metal housings and are powered by two AA batteries. Charging terminals on each transmitter work with the ATW-CHG3 and ATW-CHG3N smart charging docks (sold separately) to recharge NiMH batteries.

Features

  • Extremely wide 60 MHz UHF tuning bandwidth for maximum versatility in an increasingly congested RF environment; available in two frequency bands: DE2 (470-530 MHz) and EE1 (530-590 MHz)
  • Unique multifunction button on the handheld and body-pack transmitters can be used to switch to a backup frequency (on both transmitter and receiver) should interference be encountered
  • True Diversity operation reduces dropouts
  • Auto Squelch feature automatically adjusts squelch setting to maximize range while minimizing potential interference
  • Frequency scan and IR sync functionality for ease of setup
  • Dual-mode receiver display can switch between standard view or a performance view that highlights key metering
  • Transmitters and receivers include OLED screens for optimal readout of key settings and alerts
  • Handheld transmitter offers extremely low handling noise and includes an industry-standard thread mount for use with six interchangeable A-T microphone capsules, as well as other compatible capsules
  • New rugged cH-style connector on body-pack transmitter provides secure connection to lavalier mics, headworn mics, and cables with cH-style screw-down 4-pin connector
  • Body-pack transmitter features tactile mute toggle switch (defeatable) for physical confirmation of mute status when transmitter display is not visibleCharging terminals on transmitters work with optional ATW-CHG3 and ATW-CHG3N smart charging docks to recharge NiMH batteries
  • Antenna power available for powered antennas and other in-line RF devices
  • Ground-lift switch helps eliminate audible hum caused by ground loops
  • Balanced and unbalanced audio output jacks
